There are alot of myth about losing weight and fats. Here are some of
the most common myths. I've seen many of these myth in action in all gym
I've been too. In the end these will be the downfall of most people. I've listed what i can list of the moment so throught the mistakes of other people including me (we are human after all)we may learn. |

| The more muscles you have
the more you burn that fat. In fact it is hard to gain muscle mass, It is
easier to lose fat than gain muscles. Alot of women are a victim of this myth.
Don't be afraid of lifting some weights. A combination of weight lift
and cardio is the best.
|
| This is called spot reducing and there is no such thing. I hear many people asking
trainers "How to reduce x (where x stands for a body part)?". A layer of fat covers
your muscles like a blanket, You know or have an idea what's inside that blanket but
you cant see it because it's covered. To show what's behind that blanket called
muscles you need to lose the blanket called fats.
|
| Doing 15 and more reps will increase your endurance. If you want a more harder cut
up muscles you need to do a heavier weights with lower reps(either a 5-6 reps, this
gives you more size and power).
|
| In 45 mins of weight lifting your
testosterone* level goes down by 85%, in short after around 60 mins your workout
will not be as effective as the previous 60 mins.
*testosterone effects (from wikipedia.org)
- Maintenance of muscle mass and strength
- Maintenance of bone density and strength
- Libido and clitoral engorgement/penile erection frequency.
- Mental and physical energy
|
| That's called overtraining and it
does more damage to your body than good. Muscles grows when you are resting not
during workout. Workouts just triggers this
|
| Although men and women may differ
in some aspects but no matter what human is human.
|
| When
you stop working out your muscles shrinks but will not disappear. Fat cells and
muscles is as different as water and wood. The reason maybe you get big or fatty after is maybe because of the diet. People tend to revert a little of that "bad" habit.
